Revive Community of Virginia partners every summer with local community partners and sponsors to have Summer Homies, a festival of resources aimed at serving the displaced, houseless, underserved, and unsheltered communities in Norfolk, VA. Summer Homies is a festival of resources that provides essential services at no cost to the most vulnerable individuals in the community.

This festival will offer a wide range of services to address the diverse needs of the community. These services will include haircuts, manicures, and showers to promote personal hygiene and self-care. Laundry services and the provision of new socks and undergarments will also be available to ensure basic clothing needs are met.

In addition to personal care services, Summer Homies will also offer hot meals to address food insecurity and provide much-needed nutrition to those in need. Mental health checks and physical exams, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, will be provided to support individuals’ overall health and well-being.

The goal of Summer Homies is to serve 500-1,000 individuals during a one-day program.
