Revive Community of Virginia is facilitating a financial empowerment program for individuals ranging from those in need of financial rehabilitation to those who simply want to increase their financial literacy. We all can be better with money and increase our ability to be good stewards!

This program is a free resource that focuses on financial health and rehabilitation through workshops and other programming throughout the year.

The FINANCIAL MA$TERS PROGRAM will cover the following topics:
  • Financial Literacy
  • Home Ownership
  • Mortgage & Equity
  • Financial Stewardship
  • Debt Reduction
  • Borrowing Loans Savings
  • Match Program

Revive Community of Virginia will offer these workshops in-person in the Executive Building at Calvary Revival Church (5755 Poplar Hall Drive, Norfolk, VA. 23502) every third Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. starting February 18, 2023!

Classes will cover the following topics:
  • Bank On It – Crisis Mode — Understanding what to do when you don’t have enough money for your bills. Understanding banking and their products and services.
  • Money Management 1 & 2 — Understanding how to track your spending, create a budget, and set goals.
  • Credit the Basics/Credit Next Steps — Understanding your credit score and how to improve it.
  • Pay Yourself First — Understanding the importance of savings and the difference between emergency savings and long-term savings.
  • Keep It Safe — Understanding how to protect yourself from identity theft

Time Commitments for the 5-month program:

  • One class per month for 2 hours each class (10 hours of class time total)
  • Minimum of five 1-hour one-on-one coaching sessions (5 hours of coaching time total)
  • Roughly 2 hours of homework to complete each month (10 hours of homework total)
