Summer Homies – Our Annual Festival of Free Resources

Every summer, Revive Community of Virginia partners with local organizations and sponsors to host Summer Homies—a one-day critical resource festival designed to serve our most vulnerable neighbors in Norfolk, VA. This free annual program provides essential health services, food access, hygiene support, and more to individuals and families facing food insecurity, housing instability, and economic hardship.

This year, 521 of our neighbors were resourced, including 163 children and 125 senior citizens. With the support of 85 resource providers, we didn’t just meet urgent needs—we offered tools to help elevate lives.

Our festival featured live cooking demonstrations, free nutritious meals, yoga and mindfulness sessions, massages, mental health support, hot showers, and fresh clothing—all at no cost. Summer Homies continues to be a model of what’s possible when the community shows up with compassion, care, and commitment.
